Violet Posy

This project in fresh colours was featured in ‘Inspirations #52. Jan uses her new technique of ‘raised embroidery without wire’ to create a beautiful garland of violets, berries and berry flowers. Learn to achieve fine, delicate results for raised flowers and leaves. The detached leaves and flowers will be worked on fused silk using our new transfer method.

Stitches used include lazy daisy, turkey knots, split backstitch, drizzle stitch, buttonhole stitch, and wrapping beads. This project is worked on soft gold silk dupion
